A rapidly developing Atlantic low pressure system tracks towards south Ireland and southwest England through the day. This will bring spells of rain, some heavy, to Ireland, much of England and Wales as it pushes northeastwards through the day. Further north expect some sunny spells and showers although cloud will gradually thicken from the south. The low will continue to track north and into northern England and Scotland overnight. Winds will strengthen too. Highs at 15 to 21C.
Staying unsettled on Tuesday with showers as well as longer spells of rain once again across the country as the low pressure system continues to track northwards. Heaviest of the rain looking to affect northern areas on Monday with sunny spells developing but also blustery and heavy showers elsewhere. Highs at 14 to 20C.
Low pressure moves into the northern North Sea by Wednesday. Sunny spells and showers are expected, although Ireland and some western areas of the UK should see an improvement in conditions as the day progresses as higher pressure ridges in from the Atlantic. Highs at 15 to 21C.
Ridging high pressure continues to influence better conditions on Thursday, although there will be some developing showers, these mainly towards southern and eastern areas, but plenty of dry conditions and sunny spells about for other regions. Highs at 17 to 23C.
A largely dry and fine day on Friday, particularly across the south and east, however, an area of low pressure looks to push in to northwestern areas through the day, bringing spells of rain here. Highs at 18 to 24C.
Outbreaks of rain to affect Scotland, Northern Ireland, parts of Ireland and into northern England on Saturday. Dry with sunny spells elsewhere, although Wales could be cloudier. Highs at 16 to 24C.
