Showers west and east, dry and bright in other areas as well as chilly

Another chilly day to come. Starting dry and bright for many parts of England and Wales. Cloud is already thicker in Scotland and Ireland, some showers over eastern coasts, and heavier showers drifting into northwest Ireland. The showers slipping down eastern coasts during this morning, and also through central Ireland.

This afternoon brings two areas of showers, one over eastern England and the eastern Midlands, another in central and eastern Ireland as well as western Wales and southwest England. Drier, brighter weather follows from the north.

The showers clearing south through late afternoon and evening. Clearer skies and drier weather then follows although increased coud in northern and western Scotland. A slight frost in some areas by the morning.
