Bursts of rain develop in south
Good morning,
Unsettled weather continues early this week, but there's some improvement for central and southern regions in the coming days.
Today, rain and drizzle affects Wales and northwest England into southwest Scotland. Clusters of heavy showers push into south and southwest England, some thundery bursts. Gales developing around southwestern coasts.
Heavy prolonged rainfall affects the south and east of Ireland today, bringing a threat of flooding here.
Eastern England stays dry much of the daytime, but expect some rain later. Northern Scotland also escapes with drier conditions today.
Today's top temperatures reaching 13 to 17C, warmest for central-eastern England. Cooler where rain persistent, only 7 to 10C for Northern Ireland.
