Wednesday 13 March A windy day with fresh to strong SW winds for all, with gales likely for Western Isles. Cloudy to start across Scotland with outbreaks of rain, heavy and prolonged Aryshire, Argyll across Highland to Borders through the morning with sunshine and blustery showers following 6-8C generally. Cloudy to start across Wales into Lancashire and later Yorkshire with rain becoming patch during the afternoon, 8-10C. Eastern England to midlands and all of rest of England mainly dry though generally cloudy morning, cloud breaking sw England and midlands duringthe afternoon 12 to 14C Cheshire to Somerset, midlands to Yorkshire to kent. Remaining cloudy with rain continuing across N.Ireland to southern Scotland and across Cumbria to Northumberland, though most prolonged in the west. Remaing windy overnight with a fresh SW wind, 10C. Staying cloudy for rest of England and Wales, patchy rain for Wales dry elsewhere 10C with a fresh SW wind. Thursday 14 March
Remaining cloudy with rain prolonged for most of Scotland, N.Ireland, Wales and running across northern England, later outbreaks of rain across SW England. A cloudy and mainly dry morning for midlands to Lincolnshire to Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire to Kent though patchy rain for a time into Hampshire, rain will become prolonged during the afternoon continuing eastwards and clearing across Kent through the evening windy fresh SW wind 10-12C
