Cool in north

Driest in east

Good morning,

It's a rather uninspiring Monday out there with a lot of cloud cover, plus rain and drizzle affecting central and western areas much of the day.

Heavy bursts of rain for southwest England into south Wales. Persistent heavy rain for Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland. Snow affects the southeastern Scottish Highlands.

Eastern England will be drier and somewhat brighter, but sun mostly weak due to high level cloud. Locally drier and brighter in northwest Scotland too.

Today's top temperatures struggling at 7C in Scotland and the north of England, up to 9C for Wales, and 11C for the Home Counties.

Have a great day.
Garry
