Strong winds and showers
A rather cloudy and windy day for most with frequent showers, these turning wintry over higher ground, but only slushy accumulations are expected. Some thundery showers are possible especially for the northwest. A longer spells of rain and hill snow is possible later over north Scotland. It will feel colder than of late with maximum temperatures at 7C in north, and 9C in south. Isolated patches of frost are expected overnight especially in the more sheltered inland places, with a risk of icy stretches.
