A band of rain spreading east through the day.

A cloudy but dry start for the east. Further west cloudy with outbreaks of rain, this heavy over western Ireland and Wales. Thick cloud and rain will spread east through the morning across all parts, and being heavy over Lake and Peak Districts as well as the Borders and north Wales. Further south and east, rain will be more light and patchy. Breezy with temperatures rising to 8C in north, but 12C in south.

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the evening, however rain soon becoming confined over Ireland and Scotland, and more persistent too. Heavier outbreaks are expected over high ground. Minimum temperatures at 8C in north, but 10C in south.
