Blue skies
Sunshine

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 23rd April 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Temperatures will warm up quickly after a chilly start today. Blue skies and sunshine will be the dominant weather for most - especially over England and Wales - though there will be a bit more in the way of cloud over Scotland and Ireland. A few showers may pop up over northern parts of Scotland during the afternoon but it will stay dry elsewhere.

Good Morning,

It's a chilly start for many today with an early patchy frost possible over Northern Ireland and Wales as well as central and southern parts of England. Temperatures will warm though as, for most areas, it's another day of blue skies and sunshine. Some thicker cloud at times through the morning to the north of Scotland and over parts of Ireland too.

Continuing bright and sunny for most into Friday afternoon. A few showers may pop up over northern parts of Scotland but for most it stays dry. For most temperatures will reach 14 to 16C today though it will be a couple of degrees cooler on southern and eastern coasts.

Cloud drifts in over Scotland and into parts of Northern Ireland, northern England and north Wales during the evening but, for many, it will be a dry and bright end to the day.

Have a good day!

Claire
