Morning Call - April 24, 2021
Cool eastern coasts
Warm for most

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 24th April 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Another mostly dry and fine day across the UK and Ireland as high pressure hangs around a little longer. Some cloud at times over England though this tends to break up into the afternoon. Eastern coasts of the UK will be cooler and there may be some more persistent cloud here in areas. Cloud thickens over northern Scotland too and there is the chance of the odd shower popping up here later.

Good Morning,

A chilly start for many especially to the southwest where a patchy frost may have formed overnight. A dry and mostly fine start to the day though across the UK and Ireland with plenty of sunshine which will ensure temperatures rise quickly. A bit more in the way of cloud around over the east of the UK and through northern England and Ireland too.

Cloud tends to dissipate for most areas as we head through Saturday afternoon to give good spells of sunshine for most. The notable exception will be the far north of Scotland where cloud may thicken to give a few isolated showers. Eastern coasts too may stay rather cloudy and temperatures here will be pegged at around 9 to 11C. Elsewhere highs expected at 13 to 16C for most.

Becoming cloudier over the northern half of Scotland through Saturday evening though most other areas will see a dry and fine end to the day.

Have a good day!

Claire
