Morning Call - April 17, 2021
Frosty start for some
Cloud in west

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 16th April 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

A frosty and bright start for many but cloud to the north and west will become more widespread. Rain also in the west.

A bright and frosty start across much of England and Wales. Further north and west there will be more in the way of cloud but with sunny spells for Scotland. It will be a klaregly dry morning although patchy, light rain will push into far western fringes of Ireland.

The afternoon will see cloud build more across England and Wales but it should remain dry. Rain will spread across western areas of Ireland and into Northern Ireland. Elsewhere, it should stay dry.

Overnight, expect cloud and rain across Ireland and Northern Ireland before clearing northwestern regions here later on. Rain will also push across Scotland becoming patchy as it pushes further east. Strengthened southerly winds too across particularly more coastal areas of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Largely dry elsewhere but cloudy. A slightly milder night than of late expected.
