Possible persistent snowfall across parts of central and eastern Scotland pushing into northern England later on.
In the morning snow falling across northern Scotland will sink southwards and affect much of central and eastern areas. A mix of rain, sleet and snow will fall across northern and western Ireland mainly, drier elsewhere here. Showers, some wintry, also affecting coastal areas of Wales and southwest England. Dry with plenty of sunshine elsewhere.
In the afternoon, the snow fall over Scotland will push into southern areas of the country, probably more as a mix of rain, sleet and snow, before pushing into northern England later in the day. Expect snow showers to continue across northern Scotland. Mainly rain affecting western and central areas of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Showers continuing down coastal areas of Wales and the southwest. Dry and bright elsewhere.
Through the evening expect patchy rain, sleet and snow to affect northern England, before pushing south to bring a mix of wintry showers turning into longer spells of falling precipitation at times across central areas of England, Wales as well as southern and eastern parts of Ireland. Dry with clear spells elsewhere but there will be a stream wintry showers and snow across parts of northern Scotland.
