Cloudier west tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 7th April 2021

Cold, lots of cloud and showers in the west

Another cold day ahead for all. The northwest wind bringing some more showers around western, northern and eastern coasts and hills, some of them wintry over high ground. Brighter and dry inland with sunny spells. Thicker cloud in western Ireland with some drizzle or patchy rain here.

This afternoon is going to be mostly dry with the showers tending to fade from all but northern Scotland,. Broken cloud, some bright sells, the best in the south. Thicker cloud and drizzle across much of Ireland.

Tonight sees low cloud and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. More persistent rai in northwest Scotland with gales here. Eastern and southern areas will be drier with a fair amount of cloud.
