Long sunny spells, rain moving in from the west
With a warm front approaching from the southwest rain showers for much of the day in Ireland. Rain bands reaching Scotland, Wales and northern England in the second half of the day.
Mix of sun and clouds in England, increasingly cloudy toward the afternoon. Some rain in the afternoon in the northwest, isolated showers in the East Midlands. Central and southern England shall stay dry. Wales will get some showers in the afternoon.
Dry morning for Scotland, showers mainly in the west and south in the afternoon. Into the night heavy rain on the Highlands, starting in the west.
In Ireland overcast and frequent rain showers.
Marked southwesterly winds along the Irish Sea. Breezy in other parts of Britain and Ireland.
18C in Ireland and Wales, just above 20C in Scotland and toward 25C in eastern England.
