Local heavy showers northeast
Good morning,
A mixed week of weather ahead, but there will some pleasant summer days as ridges of high pressure build over the British Isles at times.
Today sees weak fronts passing eastwards over Britain and Ireland bringing a lot of cloud, plus some patchy rain and drizzle mainly in western and northern areas. Best of brighter skies toward eastern parts of England.
Some locally heavy showers are likely by the afternoon for central and eastern Scotland and the far northeast of England, these moving slowly in light winds. A fresher breeze for southern regions.
Today's top temperatures 18 to 22C, warmest in south and eastern counties, feeling fairly humid.
Have a great day. Garry
