Cool with showers, rain for eastern coasts
Cool and cloudy Northumberland to Kent with outbreaks of rain, mainly confined to coastal and just adjacent inland locations, generally patchy though mixed with prolonged spells, persisting for most of the day, with a fresh onshore wind, 12 to 14C with a high windchill. Cloudy generally N.Ireland and Scotland with sunny spells, cooler for Northern Isles to Fife 12 to 14C, becoming locally warmer 16 to 18C Argyll, Ayrshire and Dumfries. Antrim and Derry also some sunshine through the afternoon so 16 to 18C. Although a rather cloudy morning, remaining mainly dry with increasing sunshine during the afternoon for Lancashire into Cheshire through to Leicestershire to Suffolk including across Shropshire to Glamorgan, Wiltshire to Hampshire 16 to 18C. Scattered showers for Devon and Cornwall though Dorset into the afternoon 16C. Becoming dry with sunshine through the evening for most across Scotland as cloud tends to break, rain may become persistent for a time Borders to Yorkshire into the evening, and showers generally widespread for south Wales, Devon and Cornwall across Hampshire to Kent. Whilst showers will ease later into the evening to give a generally dry night with variable cloud 6 to 8C Wales, Shropshire to Nottinghamshire, 10 to 12 elsewhere, cloud with outbreaks of rain will tend to persist Fife and Tayside to Borders and Yorkshire. Sunday cool to start, sunny variable cloud, scattered showers 18 to 20C for most.
