A fair start then then fresher at the weekend and next week with some showers

The week is going to be starting fine and dry with plenty of sunshine. However, a weak front may bring some patchy rain to the west of Saturday. Turning fresher with some showers on Sunday and Monday before turning drier again for most into the middle stages on next week.

Saturday 29/6/19
A weak front arrives in western areas on Saturday. This brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain into Scotland, Ireland as well as northwest England and western Wales. The rain will be light and patchy. Eastern and central parts of England and Wales should be dry with good spells of sunshine. Turning fresher to the west at 22C in Ireland perhaps to 30C in southeast England.


Sunday 30/6/19
A fresher day for Sunday with low pressure to the north and high pressure to the south. There will be sunny spells. Showers, mostly in Scotland and Ireland, fewer over western England. Many eastern and southern parts of England should be dry. Highs at 16 to 19C in the north and west, 24C in southeast England.
 


Monday 1/7/19
Low pressure to the north on Monday with a ridge of high pressure building into Ireland. A day of sunshine and showers for many, the showers heaviest in the north. Much of England and Wales, away from western coasts and hills, should be mostly dry with sunny spells. Breezy in northern areas. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.
 


Tuesday 2/7/19
Higher pressure builds through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This is going to give a dry day with good spells of sunshine to most. A low risk of some cloud and a few spots of rain in the far northwest of Scotland. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.


Wednesday 3/7/19
Higher pressure remains over the south of the UK and Ireland, lower pressure to the north of Scotland. Further scattered showers affecting northern and western coasts of Scotland as well as the north and west of Ireland. Drier to the south with sunny spells. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 24C in southern England.

Thursday 4/7/19
There is a risk of some rain in northern and western Scotland on Thursday. Drier and brighter to the south with sunny spells. Temperatures at 23C in the south, 18C in northern Scotland.
