Unsettled with rain, showers and strong winds at times on Friday & Saturday
Low pressure continues to bring unsettled weather in the coming days. There will be frequent showers or spells of rain. The rain could be especially heavy on Friday as strong winds spread north with a risk of gales. Remaining mixed next week with further showers at first. Hints of higher pressure bringing some more settled weather our way towards the middle of June.

An area of low pressure drifts north on Sunday taking persistent spells of rain with it. Showers follow to the south, some heavy, and a risk of some more persistent rain for southwestern parts of the UK and Ireland at first. More persistent rain for eastern areas later. Drier and brighter for much of Scotland through the afternoon. Highs at 13C in northern Scotland, 19C in southeast England.
Low pressure to the north of the UK on Monday brings showers, and possibly longer spells of rain, over central and southern England. Showers becoming more scattered further north with good spells of sunshine. High temperatures at 14 to 21C.
Low pressure to the west of the UK on Tuesday, higher pressure to the east. A mostly fair and dry day. Cloudy to the west as low pressure approaches, drier and brighter to the east with a chance of a shower or two through the afternoon. Highs at 13 to 20C.
The flow remains northwesterly on Wednesday. Fronts bring cloud and light spots of rain to northern and western areas. Mostly dry and bright to the south and east. Highs at 16 to 21C.
Thursday could see high pressure building though fronts could bring cloud and drizzle to northern areas. Mostly dry and bright to the south and east. Highs at 17 to 22C.
High pressure may shift to the west on Friday bringing a mostly dry and bright day. Cloudier to the north with a few light spots of rain. High temperatures at 15 to 23C.
