Unsettled, rain and showers continuing into next week, perhaps better later
An unsettled weekend with low pressure brings strong winds and heavy rain. Conditions turning showery on Sunday and through Monday and Tuesday. Uncertainty in the forecast into next week with the threat of rain and strong winds at times as well as colder conditions in the southern half of the UK. More northern and western areas are likely to be drier and brighter. Perhaps better towards the end of the forecast period.

Tuesday 11/06/19 Higher pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Tuesday. Lower pressure over southeast England bringing cloud and rain, some of it heavy and thundery. Some heavy bursts of rain for southwestern England, Wales and eastern Ireland. Scattered showers in eastern England. Drier in northwestern areas where there will be some sunshine. Potentially windy in the east too. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.
Wednesday 12/06/19 Higher pressure stays northwest of Scotland on Wednesday. Lower pressure may bring rain across England, Wales and the island of Ireland and into southern Scotland later in the day. Dry but overcast and breezy for northern and central parts of Scotland. Highs at 11 to 18C.
Thursday 13/06/19 Lower pressure to the east of the UK on Thursday bringing a cool northerly airflow. Rain for southern parts of the UK and Ireland. A mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers to the north. Breezy. Highs widely at 12 to 16C, 18 or 19C in the southeast.
Friday 14/06/19 A generally northerly airflow persists on Friday bringing a mixture of sunny spells and showers. Best of the brightness to the north before a band of more persistent rain moves into the northwest. Cloudier to the south. Highs at 11 to 20C, warmest in the southeast.
Saturday 15/06/19 Confidence is low but high pressure may start to build to the south on Saturday where it will be mostly dry and bright. Lower pressure to the north continues to bring showers. Breezy. Highs at 11 to 19C.
Sunday 16/06/19 Confidence remains low into Sunday. Higher pressure may continue to build to the south pushing low pressure and showery conditions further to the north. High temperatures at 13 to 17C.
