Unsettled weather continues, showers and rain for many
The unsettled weather affects the whole of the UK and Ireland over the coming days. There will be rain and showers on most days. Heavy rain on Friday spreading northwards, and there could be some more heavier bursts of rain through Saturday too. Tending to turn more showers next week, perhaps drier into the middle of the week.

Low pressure to the south of the UK on Friday. This pushes fronts northwards bringing heavy periods of thundery rain with it. Showers or longer spells of rain in western Ireland too. Scotland and northern England may start brighter but the rain moving in here during the day with the rain heavy and thundery. Turning breezy to the south later. Highs at 13 to 16C, 21C in East Anglia.
Low pressure is again expected to be in control of the weather throughout Saturday being situated over northern Scotland. Rain and strong wind affecting Scotland and the far north of England and Northern Ireland. Brighter to the south with sunny spells and a few showers too. Highs at 13 to 18C.
Another area of low pressure drifts north on Sunday taking further periods of rain with it. Showers follow to the south, some heavy. Fair in the far north of Scotland. Tops at 14 to 18C.
The area of low pressure continues to affect the UK and Ireland on Monday. The day is likely to be one of sunshine and showers, some heavy and thundery in the north and west. Tops at 14 to 19C.
Low pressure brings sunny spells and showers on Tuesday, a few of them heavy. Low pressure remains north of Scotland. Tops at 13 to 20C.
Pressure may begin to build on Wednesday. There are likely to be more showers, these heavy in the east. Drier to the west with sunny spells. Highs at 13 to 19C.
