Wednesday 29/07/20
A ridge of high pressure to the east on Wednesday will give a largely dry day to many in Britain, although with low pressure close by to the west, patchy light rain will spread across Ireland through the day reaching Northern Ireland later and will possibly affect Irish Sea coastal areas of northern Wales and England at times. Cloud thickening across England, Wales and Scotland through the day with the best of the sun for eastern parts of England and Scotland. High temperatures around 15 to 22C.

Thursday 30/07/20
High pressure is nudged eastwards through the day by low pressure tracking northeast to the west. Early rain clears northern parts of Ireland and England but it will be a rather wet day for Scotland as a front moves slowly northward over the country taking outbreaks of rain with it. Breezy too for western areas. A dry day for much of Ireland, England and Wales with the best of the sun over southern areas. Highs at 18 to 25C.

Friday 31/07/20
Low pressure to the west and high pressure to the east brings a warm and humid southerly flow to the UK and Ireland. Weak fronts bring light, patchy rain into the west of Ireland and far west of Scotland at times otherwise it's a mostly dry, muggy day with the best of the sun to the south and east. Thundery showers may flare up through the late afternoon and evening over southern and western areas. Highs of 20 to 28C.

Saturday 01/08/20
An unsettled day to start the weekend as the UK sits under a trough. This will bring with outbreaks of rain for many, these locally heavy and thundery to the north and west. Breezy too along the northern and western coasts. Highs at a very warm 18 to 29C.

Sunday 02/08/20
A slack pressure gradient over the British Isles into Sunday giving a mixed day of sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. Low pressure to the northwest brings rain and fresher winds into Ireland and western parts of the UK later. Highs range from 16 to 27C.

Monday 03/08/20
Monday could see an area of low pressure track east over the UK. Bands of rain pass eastward across the country while showers, spells of sunshine and a fresh northwesterly breeze follow to the west. Highs range from 16 to 24C.
