Tuesday 07/07/20
A ridge of high pressure begins to build from the south. A few showers are likely to remain, but fewer than previous days, and well scattered across England & Wales, more widespread over Scotland. Variable cloud and some sunshine to the east. Winds lighter than previous days and feeling warmer across the UK. Low pressure arrives over Ireland through the day bringing outbreaks of rain across the island, these reaching western parts of the UK later. Highs at 16 to 24C.

Wednesday 08/07/20
Some uncertainty in the forecast for Wednesday. Low pressure clears to the east of the UK but it's not clear if the heaviest rain will be over northern or southern parts of the country at the moment. Sunny spells and showers follow in from the west though some western coasts and hills could see more persistent rain. A breezy day to the south. Highs at 16 to 23C.

Thursday 09/07/20
The east and northeast of Britain may stay dry, but a risk of fronts moving in from the west to bring cloud and rain to west and southwestern parts of Britain and Ireland. Becoming humid. Warm in the south. Highs 15 to 23C.
