Chilly throughout, showers in places, a risk of rain in the far south Friday and Saturday

cold week ahead with the winds tending to remain mostly from the northerly quadrant. There will be showers, although some areas such as coasts and hills will be more prone than others. A risk of some rain lingering in southern and southeast England on Friday and again for some Saturday.

Friday 9/4/21
A cold front extends from east Anglia to Wales on Friday, edging southwards. This will be bringing cloud and showery outbreaks of rain, with little change expected here through the day. Possibly drier over far southern coasts of England. Brighter in northern England and Scotland as well as Ireland. Showers around western, northern and eastern Scotland, some falling as snow over the hills here. Further showers in northern and western Ireland. Brighter with sunny spells in northern England. Highs at 11C in southern England, turning colder behind the front with 5C in northern Scotland.


Saturday 10/4/21
A weak front may continue to affect southeast England on Saturday. This brings some showery outbreaks of rain, slowly fading during the day. Fairer elsewhere with sunny spells, but also some showers affecting coasts and hills. Highs at 3 to 8C.

 
 
 


Sunday 11/4/21
Pressure remains high on Sunday, although it is going to be cold again. There could be cloud in the south with some outbreaks of showery rain here. For most areas it should be bright with sunny spells, although some showers in the east. Cloud is likely to be broken with the best sunshine in the west. Highs at 4 to 9C.

Monday 12/4/21
Low pressure to the east with higher pressure to the west on Monday. A cold northerly wind affects all areas. There may be cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the east. Brighter in western areas. Highs around 5 to 9C.

Tuesday 13/4/21
Pressure stays mostly high through Tuesday, but a weak front brings a fair amount of cloud through Ireland, Wales and western parts of England. There is the chance of a few spots of rain and drizzle here too. Drier to the north and east, a few brighter spells here. Highs at 6 to 11C.

Wednesday 14/4/21
A weak front may bring some cloud and showers through Ireland and northern England on Wednesday. brighter and drier in the south with bright or sunny spells. Brighter too in Scotland, although some showers could affect northern and western areas. Highs at 6 to 10C.
