Heavy rain
Cooler by Monday

Saturday
High pressure ridges into Scotland, north and west Ireland and Northern Ireland on Saturday bringing dry and fair weather here. Also dry with sunny spells across southeast and much of eastern England where it will be again warm. Cloudier skies elsewhere thanks to a weak front giving patchy rain to east Ireland and northern England. Heavier bursts of rain across Wales and southwest England where in places it could become locally gusty. Highs at 14 to 17C in the north and west, 22 to 27C through southern and southeastern areas.

Saturday Night
Heavy bursts of rain continue to affect Wales and southwest England overnight pushing north into central southern England by dawn. Much of Ireland into Northern Ireland will see some rain as well as northern England. Further north and east will stay dry. A cold night in the north of Scotland with a touch of frost for some, lows around 8 to 17C elsewhere.

Sunday
Sunday sees high pressure over Scotland push eastwards more over Scandinavia allowing for cloud to build and rain to gradually move up from the south. Further south, troughs will push showery rain northwards, likely for many places to see heavy and persistent bursts of rain. Some areas may even catch some thunder and lightning within any of the heavier bursts. Highs at 15C in western Scotland, 25C in southeast England.

Monday
A trough sits over the UK and Ireland on Monday sweeping a front of rain from west to east across the country, clearing from the west where there will be sunny spells and showers. A cooler day for all with highs at 12C in western Scotland, 21C in southeast England.
