Cooler next week but the weather remains mixed

Wet and windy weather continues this weekend. The winds should ease on Sunday by which time rain will have transferred eastwards. It will be turning cooler after being very war in the east on Saturday. Next week remains mixed. There will be some drier days. Most of the rainfall will again be in western areas.

Monday 15/10/18
Wet and windy weather is expected to affect western Scotland and western Ireland on Monday. Dry elsewhere with good spells of sunshine, the best of this in the east and south. Top temperatures 12 to 14C north-west, 15 to 17C south-east.

Tuesday 16/10/18
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Tuesday. A generally unsettled day with south-westerly winds, up to gale force possibly in western coastal areas and over the hills. Rain frequent or persistent for western regions of Britain, followed by showers for Ireland behind a cold front. Some rain spilling east into central-eastern Britain, but little rain toward the south-east. Highs 13 to 19C, warmest south-east.

Wednesday 17/10/18
The risk of some rain fro a weak front in the far southeast of England on Wednesday. Most other areas will be dry with sunny spells as a ridge of high pressure builds. Temperatures at 12 to 16C.

 
 
 

Thursday 18/10/18
A ridge of high pressure through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings plenty of dry weather with good spells of sunshine. A few mist and fog patches in the morning, but these clearing quickly. Increasing wind and some rain in western Scotland and western Ireland later. Highs at 11 to 16C.

Friday 19/10/18
A westerly flow on Friday. The chance of some patchy rain in the southeast and a front brings some showery rain into western Scotland. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells. Highs at 12 to 16C.

Saturday 20/10/18
Breezy on Saturday with cloud and outbreaks of rain in the west. More persistent rain in the far north of Scotland. Drier and brighter to the east and south. Highs at 12 to 17C.
