Plenty of cloud around on Wednesday morning. There will be rain in western parts of the UK with some mist and fog on hills and coasts. Some showery rain may affect eastern Scotland and northeast England too. Drier in other areas with some sunshine to the south. Fresher in Ireland, sunny in the west. Becoming damp through much of central and southern Scotland as well as northern England, the Midlands, Wales and southwest England during this afternoon. Ireland, western Scotland, western Wales and western England become drier and brighter. Mostly dry in East Anglia and southeast England with some sunny periods. Highs at 26C in southeast England, 18C in Ireland.

Wednesday Night
Patchy rain passes east across Scotland and England tonight, fading away through the early hours of the morning. Drier weather follows from the west with some clearer skies too. Increased winds and some rain into western Ireland and western Scotland by morning. Drizzle could affect western Wales and southwest England later. Lows at 17C in the southeast, much fresher to the west at 5 to 8C.

Thursday
Low pressure northwest of Scotland on Thursday. This brings breezy conditions with cloud and rain in central and western Scotland and much of Ireland. Drizzle affecting western coasts and hills where there will be some mist and fog too. Drier in the east and south with the best of any sunny spells in southeast England. Highs at 16 to 18C in the west, but 23C in southeast England.

Friday
A moist and cloudy southwesterly flow affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland on Friday. This brings lots of mist, fog and drizzle to western coasts and hills. Rain affecting western and northern Ireland as well as much of central and southern Scotland. Brighter in southern and eastern England, a few brighter spells. Probably drier in the far north of Scotland too. Tops at 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in East Anglia and the southeast.
