Morning Call - June 15, 2019
Rain moving northeast
Local heavy bursts

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 15th June 2019
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Improving in southwest

Good morning,

Low pressure is centred to the northwest of the British Isles today. A frontal zone over western regions drifts slowly east & northeast through the day, bringing areas of rain or showers.

A fairly wet start in parts of Wales and the southwest, before rain edges slowly into the Midlands, and bursts of locally heavy rain track gradually further east & northeast through the afternoon. Chance of isolated thunder. Some slow-moving downpours will be hit and miss for Scotland and Ireland too.

Southwestern regions will become largely dry with sunny spells through the afternoon and evening. A fresh south to southwesterly breeze affects many areas.

Today's top temperatures nudging 20C in the southeast of England, around 15 to 18C for many, or 13C in western Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
