Morning Call - June 22, 2019
Mostly dry
Feeling warmer for most

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 22nd June 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A mostly dry day across the UK and Ireland with scattered showers affecting parts of the Midlands, Ireland and Scotland at times. Feeling warmer too, particularly in the south.

Good morning,

A cool start to the day for many in the north of England, Scotland and Wales. Mostly dry with just the odd shower first thing over western Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Midlands. Cloudy to the west, mostly dry and brighter to the east.

Showers continuing through the morning and becoming more frequent and heavier over Scotland. Elsewhere light scattered showers will affect parts of Ireland and eastern England. There will be some cloud around at times but there will also be some good sunny spells.

Showers easing for most through the afternoon and evening but persisting over northeastern parts of Scotland. High temperatures at 15C in the north of Scotland, 22C in the south of England. More widely we'll see highs at 17 to 20C.

Through the evening cloud will build from the southwest as an area of low pressure approaches from the Atlantic. Mostly dry with a mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells.

Have a good day!
Claire
