Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A mild day with some sunny spells, but lower cloud in central areas and drizzle western Ireland and Scotland

Good morning,

There may be some low cloud in central parts of England and Wales this morning as well as some drizzle on hills. Elsewhere cloud is likely to be broken with some good spells of sunshine. Feeling warm. This afternoon remains dry and bright as well as very mild with a brisk breeze in northern England and Scotland.

Thicker cloud with some outbreaks of rain in western Ireland, these edging east during the day. Western Scotland will have more cloud too with some spots of rain and drizzle expected here this afternoon. Breezy in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Staying mild throughout.

More cloud and rain in southern Scotland, northern England and Wales tonight, a chance of some spots of rain on hills. Drier with clear spells further east, some clear spells in Ireland and western Scotland too.
