A fresh westerly breeze
Good morning,
Low pressure is centred north of Scotland today. A westerly flow influences the country. Squally winds gusting gale force in the north.
Showery for western Scotland - heavy bursts with rain, hail and snow over the hills above 500-600m. A few bands of showers for western and southern coasts of England and Wales. Brief showers moving well inland.
Much of central and eastern England and Wales will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Another area of low pressure develops west of Ireland during the day and moves across Britain overnight, bringing a wet start to Saturday for many.
Today's top temperatures will reach 8 to 12C, highest in southern England, but feeling chilly in the wind for northern areas.
Have a great day. Garry
