Rain in the west, some of it heavy, mild and breezy for all
A rather cloudy and breezy start to the morning for tuesday. There will be a few outbreaks of rain here and they're mostly through western parts of England, Wales, and Scotland. More persistent rain affecting Ireland where some of that rain could be heavy in the southeast. A breezy morning too.
The rain will be edging slowly east this afternoon to be into western Scotland Wales and Southwest England by evening. More eastern parts of England and Scotland should stay mostly dry although with a fair amount of cloud and stiffness southerly breeze. A few spots of drizzle are likely over the Pennines. Becoming drier in central southern and western Ireland although there is a risk of a few showers affecting the west.
A mild and breezy night ahead for most with heavy periods of rain affecting Wales and much of Southwest England as well as Southwest Scotland. Cooler and dry across Ireland.
