A mixed week and becoming very mild for some then a drier start to next week

An unsettled few days ahead with low pressure dominating. This brings periods of rain, although as pressure builds to the south later in the week the southwest wind will be lifting temperatures. Probably turning more unsettled again at the weekend before drier weather returns early next week.

Friday 10/3/17
The moist, mild southwest flow persists across the UK and Ireland on Friday. The warm front through Scotland brings cloud, drizzle and outbreaks of rain here. Western coasts and hills are likely to have plenty of low cloud and fog too with outbreaks of drizzle. More eastern and central areas of England and Wales are likely to become drier and brighter with sunny spells coming through. Very mild here with tops of 17C in any sunshine, but more generally 12 to 15C.


Saturday 11/3/17
A front passes eastwards on Saturday taking outbreaks of rain with it. brighter and drier weather follows from the west as a ridge of high pressure builds. Fronts may arrives in western Scotland again later bringing some cloud and rain here. Highs at 9 to 13C.
 


Sunday 12/3/17
A front and shallow area of low pressure brings a cooler day for Sunday with periods of rain, some heavy in the morning. The rain tending to be turning more showery into the afternoon. Showers may fade towards the west and remaining breezy throughout the day. Highs at 7 to 12C.
 


Monday 13/3/17
A ridge of high pressure builds through the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings a fair day with sunny spells for many. However, weak fronts could affect northern Scotland bringing some cloud and rain here. Highs at 9 to 12C.


Tuesday 14/3/17
Another fair day is likely for most on Tuesday with the ridge of high pressure remaining over most areas. Cloud and rain will be arriving in Ireland and the west of the UK. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Wednesday 15/3/17
A ridge of high pressure builds over the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This is going to be bringing fair weather with sunny spells, but stronger winds and thicker cloud and rain affecting western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 11 to 15C.
