Cool, some bright spells
Dry for most

Thursday
Some cloud this morning over the far southeast of England. This lasts into this afternoon. There will be some mist and fog patches here and there, but these will be lifting slowly to allow a few bright or sunny spells to come through. Little change is expected through the afternoon with further bright or sunny spells, but also some fog lingering in more sheltered areas. Some drizzle in western Scotland. Highs at 5 to 8C.


Thursday night
A cool night ahead with clear spells. There will be a touch of frost in some places under those clear skies as well as some mist and fog patches developing here and there. Dry for most, although a few spots of drizzle in western parts of Scotland and western Ireland. Lows at 1 to 4C.
 


Friday
High pressure brings lots of mist and fog over much of England and Wales on Friday. The fog many be dense and may not clear some areas during the day. In other places, where fog lifts there will be some bright or sunny spells. More cloud across Scotland and Ireland as well as the far southwest of England with a risk of some drizzle over hills. More persistent rain may affect the far west of Scotland and western Ireland. Cool at 5 to 8C.


Saturday
High pressure to the east with an east to southeast flow. There will be quite a lot of mist and low cloud with some drizzle in places. The risk of more persistent rain or drizzle in the east. There will be a few brighter spells though, these most likely in western Scotland and northwest England. A cold day for many with highs at 4 to 6C, around 8C in the southeast.
