Friday
High pressure brings lots of mist and fog over much of England and Wales on Friday. The fog many be dense and may not clear some areas during the day. In other places, where fog lifts there will be some bright or sunny spells. More cloud across Scotland and Ireland as well as the far southwest of England with a risk of some drizzle over hills. More persistent rain may affect the far west of Scotland and northwestern Ireland. Cool with high temperatures at 4 to 9C.


Friday night
Cloud amounts will be variable overnight from Friday into Saturday which will allow temperatures to fall repidly over most areas. Extensive mist and fog patches are expected to develop over England, Wales and the northern half of Scotland. It will be breezier to the southwest of the UK and over Ireland limiting the formation of fog here. Overnight lows range widely from 1 to 7C, sub zero temperatures likely in more rural areas allowing for a frost to form here.


Saturday
High pressure to the east with an east to southeast flow. There will be quite a lot of mist and low cloud with some drizzle in places. The risk of more persistent rain or drizzle in the east. There will be a few brighter spells though, these most likely in northern Scotland and northwest England. A cold day for many with highs at 4 to 6C, around 8 to 10C in the southeast.
 


Sunday
High pressure remains over the UK and Ireland on Sunday. A murky day for many with mist and some fog. This will be slow to clear. Some drizzle affecting eastern coasts and hills. A few brighter spells in the west though patchy light rain may affect northwest Scotland. Highs at 5 to 10C.
