Becoming slightly milder as the week progresses, but with a deep area of low pressure drifting in from the Atlantic it will be wetter during Thursday, and then continuing with heavy showers through the weekend.

Thursday 13/06/24
On Thursday a frontal system over the Atlantic moving in from the west brings persistent rain and overcast skies for Ireland and Wales in the morning, heavy in places. The rain moves gradually to the east, some of it heavy again in England and Scotland later. Southeast England and East Anglia will be dry for most of the day, getting the rain only in the evening. Breezy in England, gales on south and west coast of Ireland and Wales. Highs 12 to 19C.

Friday 14/06/24
Low pressure on Friday drifts slowly over Britain and Ireland bringing areas of rain and showers, locally heavy in Ireland and from Midlands to Highlands. Scotland, northern England and western Wales overcast for the whole day with frequent rain periods, elsewhere bright spells between the showers, most often in the south. Light southwesterly winds in the north, breezy in the south. Highs 11 to 18C, coolest in wettest areas of Scotland.

Saturday 15/06/24
Low pressure circulating slowly over the British Isles keeps things fairly unsettled for Saturday. Slow-moving areas of rain and some heavy showers, local thundery bursts. Mostly cloudy, occasional sun. Best in the South East and in Ireland, brief showers together with longer sunny spells. Mostly light southwesterly winds, breezy in the South East. Highs 10 to 18C.
 

Sunday 16/06/24
Staying generally unsettled under low pressure on Sunday. Detail is uncertain, but expect areas of rain and heavy showers to move around slowly, risk of heavy rain setting in locally. Best chances for longer dry spells again in the southeast. Highs 14 to 20C, colder in Ireland and Scotland, here 10 to 15C.

Monday 17/06/24
Highly uncertain for Monday with different scenarios possible. Most likely still mixed weather conditions with sunshine and showers, a risk of some heavy bursts locally again. Highs 12 to 19C.

Tuesday 18/06/24
Low pressure dominates for Tuesday, but it will be weakening. Showers and clouds still common, but chance for longer spells with sunshine. Warming, highs 15 to 22C.
