A strong cell of high pressure is expected to build in across Britain and is expected to dominate for much of the upcoming week. Some rain to come across Scotland and Northern Ireland for the first part of the week. Temperatures are expected to become above normal.

Tuesday 23/05/17
An area of rain will spread in across Northern Ireland and much of Scotland and here it will be rather windy. After a sunny, dry morning, a number of showers will develop across England and Wales but many areas to stay dry and pleasantly warm. Any showers fade by evening. Expect high of 16 to 23C.
 Wednesday 24/05/17
Much of England and Wales will remain fine, warm and dry with good spells of sunshine. More cloud and windy again across Scotland and Northern Ireland with mainly light outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Most places will be dry overnight with mist patches developing by morning. Expect highs of 17 to 23C.
 Thursday 25/05/17
Apart from a few scattered showers over the hills of Scotland and northern England, any mist patches clear then expect a fine, dry and warm day with sunny spells. Dry and clear overnight with fog patches by morning. Look for highs of 18 to 24C.
Friday 26/05/17
Rather breezy across south west England and Wales. Most areas will stay dry with lots of sunshine. Just a few showers to develop over northern Scotland. Fine into the evening and night. Highs of 18 to 21C.
 Saturday 27/05/17
High pressure continues to dominate keeping much of Britain dry and sunny. Rather windy across western parts of Britain. Dry with late sunshine through the evening ahead of a dry, clear night. Highs of 18 to 22C.
Sunday 28/05/17
Very warm and becoming more humid. Most paces will stay dry with hazy spells of sunshine. There may be the threat of a few thundery showers developing late in the day across south west England and Wales. Expect highs of 19 to 25C.
