Thursday 27/09/18
A weakening cold front slips southwards bringing occasional rain to Scotland, and northern England, possibly later north Wales, but amounts generally small. Showers follow across northern Scotland. Central and southern England & Wales will stay dry and fairly warm with sunny spells. A west to northwesterly breeze, strongest in northern regions. Temperatures ranging from 10C in north-west Scotland, up to 22C in south-east England.

Friday 28/09/18
High pressure is likely to rebuild from the west. Remnants of a front sinking south across England & Wales brings partly cloudy skies and a risk of patchy rain. A few showers for northern Scotland. Sunny spells breaking through for most places. Variable winds, an easterly breeze for the English Channel, westerly in Scotland. Temperatures slightly cooler overall, highs 11 to 16C, but may nudge up to 20C in the south-east.

Saturday 29/09/18
Fair weather for much of the country with high pressure in charge. Early fog patches clearing to give a good deal of sunshine. A westerly breeze may bring cloudier skies and spots of rain to western Scotland. A fresh easterly may affect English Channel coasts. Chilly in the morning. Highs 11 to 18C.

Sunday 30/09/18
Patchy rain may affect western Scotland and Northern Ireland as fronts topple in from the north-west, but most of Britain and Ireland should stay dry beneath high pressure. Fog patches clearing. Sunny spells. Highs 11 to 18C, warmest in the south.

Monday 01/10/18
Generally dry, with a good deal of sunshine. Early fog patches and slight frost. Rare if any local showers. Highs 11 to 18C.

Tuesday 02/10/18
