UK Forecast - October 04, 2012
Rain in far south
Coastal gales in south

Windy today with gales in the south east and in the channel in the morning. These lessen a bit by afternoon. A lot of cloud across southern England with rain in the extreme southern coastal counties and here it tends to persist for much of the day pushing up into the South Midlands and South Wales in the afternoon. Expect showers across Scotland, Northern Ireland and western England with the rest of the country fair and dry. Expect top temperatures of 11 to 14 Celsius.

Friday Night
Outbreaks of rain turn heavy across southern Wales and central and southern parts of England with very heavy rain across south west England. This heavy rain persist into the night before clearing the south east just before morning. Drier to the north with clear spells and showers near western coasts. Expect minimum temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius north to south.

With high pressure in charge much of the United Kingdom will have a fine day on Saturday with all parts dry and quite sunny. Continued fair and dry across the country in the evening and night with clear spells and light winds. This will make for a colder night with a risk of a frost from The Midlands north into Scotland. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 15 Celsius.

So a cold start with a frost. A dry morning to come with good sunny spells but more cloud in the afternoon across the south of England. Rain spreads into Cornwall in the afternoon with the bulk of the country fair and dry. Rain in the south west in the evening spreads up across Wales and the southern half of England in the night as it becomes heavy. To the north it stays dry but cloudy so not as cold tonight. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 15 Celsius.
