A messy day
Warm western Scotland

Cloudy and murky for much of England and Wales on Friday morning. Rain in the east and across parts of southern Wales, the southern Midlands and southern England with cloud shrouding hills. Brighter for much of Scotland, although cloud in the south with rain in the southwest. Drier for much of Ireland too, but some rain and drizzle over southern coasts. The afternoon sees the rain become more persistent through northern England the eastern Midlands and East Anglia. Rain in south Wales, but the far south of England should be drier, some brightness in the far southwest. Ireland is cloudy still, whilst rain in the far south of Scotland is reluctant to move further north, much of Scotland therefore dry.
