A mixed week with low pressure bringing rain and showers later

Mixed weather this week and chilly to cold at first in the northerly wind. Showers at times, most of them light. rier mid-week but then low pressure develops and drifts into Ireland bringing more unsettled weather for all by the end of the week and into next weekend.

Tuesday 11/6/24
A cool start to Tuesday morning with high pressure west of Ireland and low pressure to the east of the UK. This brings a cool northwest flow to all areas, although it will be bright with sunny spells. Scattered showers forming late morning, these becoming heavier into the afternoon in parts of the eastern Midlands and East Anglia. Drier and brighter elsewhere with the best sunshine in the west. Highs at 8C in parts of northern Scotland, 15C in southern England.

Wednesday 12/6/24
High pressure remains west of Ireland on Wednesday. This brings plenty of fair conditions to Ireland and much of the west and south of the UK. Some showers in northern and eastern Scotland and and eastern England. Feeling chilly again with top temperatures at 10 to 16C.


 

Thursday 13/6/24
Generally fair on Thursday morning with sunny spells. However, cloud increasing in the west bringing rain through Ireland and into the west of the UK later. Staying drier in the east with sunny spells. Highs at 10 to 15C.



 
 
 

Friday 14/6/24
Low pressure is expected to drift into Ireland on Friday. A more unsettled day with rain and showers for many. The showers turning heavy and thundery in the west. Breezy too. A risk of snow over the Scottish Highlands. Highs at 11 to 19C.



 
 
 

Saturday 15/6/24
Low pressure remains over Ireland on Saturday. Further heavy showers and thunderstorms, these too merging to longer spells of rain. Few showers in East Anglia. Highs at 12 to 19C.

Sunday 16/6/24
Low pressure remains on Sunday. Unsettled again with frequent and heavy showers. The showers will be thundery with most of them in the west. Drier in the east. Highs at 13 to 19C.
