Wet in Scotland, rain clears eastern England then drier and breezy with some showers

Good morning,

A wet morning over northern and eastern parts of England as fronts passes east. The heaviest of the rain should soon clear East Anglia and Kent. Brighter weather follows through Ireland, Wales, central and southern England and it will be breezy here too.

Staying cloudy and damp through much of Scotland, although the rain tending to be turning lighter and more showery as the morning progresses. This afternoon sees further periods of rain in central nd northern Scotland particularly. Drier in England, Wales and Ireland with a brisk west wind. Plenty of cloud, although this breaks with some bright or sunny spells forming, best to the lee of high ground.

Overnight cloud and rain moves into southern England, the rain heavy at times. Rain in the east and west of Scotland with drier weather in between. Mostly dry elsewhere too with a fair amount of cloud.
