Bright with developing showers, these becoming thundery in Ireland

Broken cloud this morning. Many areas are dry, although a few showery spots of rain affecting northeast England and and area of showery rain developing over Ireland. Some sunshine in northern and western areas. Feeling warm in the sunshine.

This afternoon sees showery spots of rain in northern and eastern England. Scattered showers over Wales and southwest England, a few heavy. An area of heavy and thundery rain over much of Ireland, some local downpours here. Sunny spells in western Scotland.

This evening starts damp in Ireland with thundery rain this slowly fading from the south. Showers in western Scotland, northern and eastern England fading as the night progresses and turning rather murky. Drier in other areas, some mist patches forming. Heavier rain could arriving in the far east of East Anglia later.
