For the weather for the next few days click here

Friday 29/5/26
A ridge of high pressure builds back across the country on Friday. Probably more cloud around, although this breaks with sunny spells. A risk of a few showers in northwest Scotland where the cloud will be thicker and linger well into the day, and also a notable westerly breeze here. Highs at 29C in southeast England, 18 to 21C Ireland, 19C in Scotland but 15C in northwest Scotland.

Saturday 30/5/26
Pressure begins to drop on Saturday. More cloud around but still with sunny spells in England, a few showers to the south. Increasingly rainy in Ireland, mostly western parts, some patchy rain reaching western Scotland through afternoon and spreading more widely into evening. Highs at 29C southeast England, 20C in Scotland and Ireland but just 15C in northwest Scotland.

Sunday 31/5/26
A more westerly flow becoming established on Sunday. Feeling cooler for all. Sunshine and showers, most in northwest England and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Mainly dry in eastern England, and sunny spells for most eastern areas. Highs at 17C Ireland and Scotland, to 24C in southeast England.

Monday 1/6/26
Fronts bring rain first into Ireland on Monday, soon passing into Scotland and northern England. Showery rain will follow in many western areas, the rain possibly heavy in Wales. A risk of the rain pushing more widely into England later. Highs at 25C in eastern England, 18C Ireland and Scotland, but 15C in western Scotland.

Tuesday 2/6/26
A more unsettled day as an area of low pressure passes east over the country. Periods of rain, some of it heavy, followed by sunshine and heavy showers. The showers always most frequent and heavy west and the wind could be quite strong. Highs near a cooler 14 to 21C.

Wednesday 3/6/26
A brief drier, brighter window on Wednesday morning, but soon becoming unsettled again as fronts bring rain to Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Some drizzle in the southwest and generally damp and cloudy. Highs at 13 to 21C.
