Rising temperatures and largely dry weather
Very warm and for some hot temperatures expected through this week into next weekend. Mostly dry, though the risk of some showers increases later in the week.

Wednesday 6/9/23 High pressure remains on Wednesday. A very warm day and hot for some. There will be plenty of sunshine, best in the east. Broken cloud and a low risk of a thundery shower in Ireland. Highs at 33C in eastern England, 25C in Ireland and Scotland.
Thursday 7/9/23 High pressure east of the country through Thursday. A dry day with sunny spells and very warm too. The risk of some thunderstorms affecting the far west of England, Wales and western Scotland as well as Ireland. Highs at 23 to 31C.
Friday 8/9/23 High pressure affects the UK and Ireland again on Friday. A risk of some thundery showers over northern England and Wales. Drier elsewhere with very warm conditions. Highs at 24 to 33C.
Saturday 9/9/23 Higher pressure again on Saturday. Dry for most areas with sunny spells. Scattered thunderstorms forming in more central and western areas later. Highs near 23 to 29C.
Sunday 10/9/23 An area of low pressure developing over Ireland on Sunday. Cloud and some showery bursts of rain here, some of them thundery. Drier in the east with sunny spells and a few showers. Highs at 22 to 28C.
Monday 11/9/23 The front tracks south across England and Wales bringing some heavy rain and possible thunderstorms here. Drier further north and west though with some thicker cloud and possible patchy light rain in the far west later. Highs at 20 to 26C.
