Low pressure dominates the scene on Thursday, bringing a more mixed day with outbreaks of rain. The rain will be rather showery but may turn heavy for some and thundery in places. Rather cloudy, however, sunny spells are expected across the southeast where temperatures will be very warm again. Highs up to 27C in the southeast, generally elsewhere highs are between 17 to 25C, cooler again across northern Scotland.
The area of low pressure slides slightly further east of the UK on Friday. Further showery bursts of rain are likely, and again these could be heavy in places. Rather cloudy for most but some sunny intervals are about. Reasonably mild again for the south and east with highs at 24C, cooler north and west at 17 or 18C.
Further bits of showery rain on Saturday but many places remaining dry too with higher pressure to the west and lower pressure to the east. There will be some sunny spells here and there. Less of a warm day with highs between 16 to 22C, cooler still across parts of Scotland.
High pressure in the west looks to build in across the country more on Sunday. Expect a chilly start in the north and west. It will be mainly dry, although sunshine may be limited. Best of any sunny spells further southeast. A cooler day still with highs between 16 and 19C.
A potential widespread chilly start to the new week. There is the risk for a band of rain to push across southern and western areas of the UK as well as across Ireland and Northern Ireland on Monday, however, confidence on this is low currently. Alternatively, many places could be dry with some sunny spells about. Highs between 16 and 20C.
Many places do look to be mainly dry, although some showery rain may affect some southwestern regions again. Highs between 17 to 20C.
