A very warm start then slowly becoming more mixed and fresher
High pressure brings a few dry days the start the new week, and as the high is to the east the winds will be bringing some very warm air into the British Isles too. By the middle of the week some showery, thundery rain reaches more western areas. This then moves across the whole of the area in the second half of the week. Turning fresher from the west.

High pressure is to the east of the UK on Tuesday. There will be some cloud in more northern and eastern parts, but overall the day is going to be dry with some bright or sunny spells.The best of the sunshine tending to be to the west and south. Some low cloud may trouble western Scotland bringing a risk of some drizzle here. Other areas are going to be dry. Highs at 22 to 28C.
The area of high pressure remains to the east on Wednesday. More cloud drifts into Ireland and western Wales as well as western Scotland and southwest England. Rain then passes north through Ireland during the day, also reaching Wales and southwest England. The far northwest of Scotland may also see some rain. The best of any sunshine always in eastern England. Very warm again in the west at 24C, but 22C in southwest England, Ireland and western Scotland.
Low pressure slowly drifts into the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings a more mixed day with some outbreaks of rain. The rain will be rather showery but may turn heavy and thundery at times. Highs at 23C in the east, a fresher 18C in the west.
The area of low pressure remains over the UK on Friday. Further showery bursts of rain are likely, and again these could be heavy and thundery in places. Warm again for the south and east at 23C, cooler north and west at 18C.
Further bits of showery rain on Saturday with higher pressure to the west and lower pressure to the east. There will be some sunny spells here and there. Highs at 16 to 22C.
Further outbreaks of showery rain may affect the whole of the island of Ireland and the southern half of the UK on Sunday. Scotland may be dry with some sunny spells. Highs at 23C in southern England, 17C in northern Scotland.
