Hot and dry at first, few showers Thursday then fresher and more unsettled next week
Hot conditions for the next few days and mostly dry too. There ay be some showery rain on Thursday. Turning fresher over the weekend and then more unsettled into the early stages of next week.

Thursday 28/5/26 An area of showery rain across Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia on Thursday morning. This area of rain moving into northern England in the afternoon, although it is only showery. Broken cloud and sunny spells as well as mostly dry conditions following, but some low cloud over western coasts and hills. Dry with decent spells of sunshine in Scotland. Highs at 28C in central and southern England, 23C in Scotland.
Friday 29/5/26 A ridge of high pressure builds back across the country on Friday. Probably more cloud around, although this breaks with sunny spells. A risk of a few showers in northwest Scotland. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 21C in Ireland, 20C in Scotland but 16C in northwest Scotland.
Saturday 30/5/26 High pressure remains on Saturday. Plenty of sunshine and staying dry too. Increasing cloud in the far west of Scotland and western Ireland in the afternoon with some patchy rain here by evening. Highs at 27C southeast England, 20C in Scotland and Ireland but just 15C in northwest Scotland.
Sunday 31/5/26 Indications of a more westerly flow becoming established on Sunday. Feeling cooler for all. Sunshine and showers, most in northwest England and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Mainly dry in eastern England. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 17C in Ireland, 24C in southeast England.
Monday 1/6/26 Fronts bringing rain to Ireland and some drizzle to western Scotland on Monday. Low cloud may affect western coasts of Wales and southwest England too. Brighter further east with sunny spells developing. Highs at 27C in eastern England, 20C Ireland and Scotland, but 15C in western Scotland.
Tuesday 2/6/26 A moe unsettled day as an area of low pressure passes east over the country. Periods of rain, some of it heavy, followed by sunshine and heavy showers. Highs near a cooler 14 to 21C.
