Low pressure over Ireland on Wednesday keeps conditions rather mixed into mid-week. Showery outbreaks of rain affect most areas - these heaviest over southern and eastern parts of England with the odd rumble of thunder here at times. Staying drier over the far north of Scotland with some spells of sunshine here. Becoming brighter too for Ireland and western parts of the UK later. Highs range from 12C to 22C.
Thursday sees low pressure filling up over the British Isles but conditions will still stay somewhat mixed. Higher pressure to the southwest brings drier conditions here for much of the day. Elsewhere, there are likely to be scattered showers, these heaviest over northern England, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Highs of 14 to 22C.
Friday sees the arrival of an area of low pressure from the Atlantic bringing frequent, and often heavy, outbreaks of rain to the UK and Ireland followed by scattered showers. These spread from west to east through the day and look to affect much of the country. Far southern and southeastern parts of England may stay dry. Breezy with highs of 13 to 23C.
Low pressure moves to the northeast allowing a northwest to northerly flow to develop across the UK and Ireland. Outbreaks of rain and showers clear to the east for most areas leaving a dry and bright day though it takes longer to clear from northeast Scotland and the Northern Isles. Isolated showers affect western areas. High temperatures of 14 to 21C.
A weak, transient ridge of high pressure may develop over the British Isles bringing a short-lived spell of drier, brighter conditions. Showers affect eastern coasts at times while another area of low pressure may arrive to the west later. Highs of 13 to 21C.
Monday sees the development of a brisk westerly flow across the UK and Ireland. A rather mixed day with variable amounts of cloud and some spells of sunshine. Showers and outbreaks of light rain affect western coasts and hills. Highs at 15 to 24C.
