A rather cloudy day for most parts, with showers or longer spells of rain over England and Wales. Scattered showers over Scotland, mostly in north, with a longer spell of rain later, while Ireland will see the driest and brightest conditions. Cooler than of late in north as the wind turns northerly. Maximum temperatures at 12C in north but 19C in south.

An approaching area of low pressure will give generally cloudy skies for most areas with outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds mostly in south. Showers in far north and feeling cool there. Tops of 12C in north and 17C in south.



 
 
 

Wednesday 25/09/2024
A cloudy day for all with heavy rain and strong winds. Rain will become persistent over northeast Scotland later in the day. Gales in the northern exposure. Feeling cool in the north with 10C in the afternoon while milder in south with 18C as the maximum.


 

Thursday 26/09/2024
Blustery showers or longer spells of rain in the morning, clearing in the afternoon with showers becoming confirmed over the coastal areas. Some snow is expected over the Highlands. Gales in northern exposure. A cool feeling for all with maximums of 8C in north and 12C in south.


 

Friday 27/09/2024
A strong northwesterly wind will bring several showers, some of them heavy especially over the coastal areas in the north. Wintry showers possibly over the Highlands. Tops of 10C in north and 14C in south.

The day starts showery with strong winds, but through the afternoon it will gradually get drier from the west with easing winds. Maximum temperatures at 10C in north and 14C in south.
