A changeable week of weather ahead; a mix of rain, showers and at times strong, blustery winds. A potentially cold end to the week into the weekend before a deep area of low pressure moves in changing up the dynamics again for the following week.

Wednesday 20/9/23 A cloudy and wet day across England and Wales on Wednesday as a front sweeps through. Rain will in places be heavy and persistent for a time. Drier and brighter through Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland though also expected showers to push through, these most frequent across wedstern areas here. Highs at 14 to 18 for most, 20 to 23C across SE England.
Thursday 21/9/23 A wet morning across southeast England before the front eventually clears here. Showers affecting elsewhere across England, Wales and Ireland. Largely dry with sunny spells across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 15 to 20C.
Friday 22/9/23 Friday sees plenty of cloud and showery rain through England and Wales, heavy in the SE. Drier and brighter further north and west though on a brisk northely wind expect showers to affect northern coasts and hills. Highs at 11 to 18C.
Saturday 23/9/23 A ridge of high pressure builds in on Saturday allowing for a dry day with sunshine, yet a cold start for many with some mist and fog possible. Highs at 12 to 19C.
Sunday 24/9/23 A deep area of low pressure sweeps in rain and strong winds from the west on Sunday, though SE England should remain dry. Highs at 15 to 21C.
Monday 25/9/23 A dry, fine and relatively warm day across southern areas. More cloud and some patchy rain further north and west. Highs at 17 to 23C.
