Changeable and cooler
Thundery showers this weekend, then an unsettled and changeable week ahead with rain, showers and strong, blustery winds at times. A potentially cold end to the week into the weekend before a deep area of low pressure moves in chaging up the dynamics again.

Tuesday 19/9/23 Starting mostly dry before rain moves in from the west across Wales and much of England. Winds will also strengthen across the far south. Scotland will see sunny spels and showers, these showers mostly affecting western areas. A cooler day with highs at 12 to 20C.
Wednesday 20/9/23 A windy day on Wednesday as a broad and extensive area of low pressure sits just to the northwest of Scotland. A wet morning for many before the front clears from the west with sunny spells but also blustery showers developing behind. Highs at 14 to 21C.
Thursday 21/9/23 The front gradually clearing the SE of England on Thursday. Elsewhere sees a largely bright day with sunny spells though also blustery showers, these mainly affecting western areas as low pressure sits over Scotland. Highs at 15 to 20C.
Friday 22/9/23 Friday is another sunshine and showers day, though less windy but still breezy for most. Winds will begin to pull down from a cooler northerly direction as the low pressure moves off over the North Sea. Highs at 11 to 18C.
Saturday 23/9/23 A ridge of high pressure builds in on Saturday allowing for a dry day with sunshine, yet a cold start for many. Highs at 12 to 19C.
Sunday 24/9/23 A deep area of low pressure sweeps in rain and strong winds from the west on Sunday. Highs at 15 to 21C.
